BIOGRAPHY:
A graduate of the Elder Conservatorium of Music in Adelaide,
Carrie has worked extensively as a singer, actor and musician
in Australian theatre for the past 12 years. Her stage credits
include Sweeney Todd and Orpheus and Euridice
for the State Opera of South Australia, and the Australian
tours of Nine and Ain't Necessarily Rowe with
Normie Rowe. She performed in the outdoor production of Alice
in Wonderland, Hey Hey It's Cinderella and was
nominated for Best Supporting Actress in the Green Room Awards
for her roles in The King of Country for Playbox Theatre
Company and Hair. Carrie played Gloria in Return
to the Forbidden Planet, Isabel in the Victoria State
Opera's production of The Pirates of Penzance and Jellylorum/Griddlebone
in Cats for the Australasian tour. Most recently Carrie
played Dusty Springfield's alter-ego in The Dusty Springfield
Story with Wendy Stapleton and the lead role of Catherine
in the concert premiere of the new Australian musical Crusade.
Her television credits as a vocalist include The Midday
Show, Hey Hey It's Saturday, Good Morning Australia
and ABC-TV's Sunday Arts Program. Carrie played the
role of Cosette in the Sydney production of Les Miserables
in 1989 and is delighted to be performing in the show once
again.
RECENT PROJECTS:
Carrie is currently performing in the ensemble of Singin
in the Rain.
