BIOGRAPHY:

Jonathan was born and bred in Christchurch, New Zealand. He is a rnulti-talented performer, having trained in classical dance and jazz piano. He then earned a degree in Drama and Philosophy before training as an actor at the Court Theatre. His roles include Eddie in Blood Brothers, Brother Martin in Saint Joan, Freddy in My Fair Lady, Tuzenbach in Three Sisters, Leonardo in Blood Wedding and Lorenzo in The Merchant of Venice. He has also appeared in Chicago, The Wind in the Willows, M Butterfly, On the Razzle and SingleSpies. His most recent appearances have been as Simon in Harry M Miller's Australasian tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, he understudied and performed the role of Chris in Cameron Mackintosh's Sydney production of Miss Saigon and appeared in the Australasian premiere of Stephen Sondheim's Putting It Together.

RECENT PROJECTS:

Jonathan has appeared in several Production Company shows over the past 2 years. He returned to New Zealand in a cabaret show. He is currently in Melbourne working on several projects, including writing a new musical with Peter Murphy.
