SIMON GLEESON

BIOGRAPHY:
Originally from The Rock in country New South Wales, Simon
was accepted into the Western Australian Academy of Performing
Arts in 1996. Highlights at the Academy include Ananins,
1959 Pink Thunderbird (Cletis), Follies, Carousel
(Enoch Snow), A Flea in Her Ear (Ettienne) and
Angels, Punks and Raging Queens (Brian). Outside the
Academy, Simon performed in Anything Goes at His Majesty's
Theatre and various singing and dancing shows with Vogue Entertainment
including solo songs in Musicals In Concert with Jill
Perryman. Simon graduated from WAAPA in 1998 and is delighted
to begin his professional career with Les Miserables.
RECENT PROJECTS:
Simon has been busy with his cabaret act Shush! which also
features Mark Spencer and Fiona Choi. In 2001, Simon appeared
at Chapel Off Chapel in the Australian premiere of Songs
For A New World. Simon then joined the cast of Shout
as alternate to David Campbell in the role of Johnny O'Keefe.
Simon recently announced his engagement to Natalie O'Donnell.
