BIOGRAPHY:
Scott Irwin grew up in Sydney and began training and performing
at the age of 20. Scott's most recent performance in Disney's
Beauty and the Beast as Gaston, earned him a Mo Award
nomination for Best Supporting Actor, led him to be tipped
as Australia's hottest new talent and labelled as one of Cleo's
50 Most Eligible Bachelors for 1997. Scott was honoured to
be asked to perform at the 1997 Super League Grand Final as
a soloist with Gina Jefferies, Olivia Newton-John and Jon
Stevens. Scott also performed at the 1996 Carols by Candlelight,
Darling Harbour. Scott's other theatre credits include the
Australian tour of Grease, a Gordon Frost production,
directed by David Atkins. From here he went on to perform
in The New Rocky Horror Show for the Paul Dainty Corporation.
Scott's television credits include guest roles in the top
rating drama Blue Heelers, Police Rescue and
Home & Away. Scott has performed on numerous other
television shows such as Hey Hey It's Saturday and as a regular
guest on The Midday Show. He has made several commercials
and corporate videos and narrated a documentary for the Australian
Flag Foundation, Making Our Flag. Last year he co-hosted the
pilot Off the Lip, a surfing 'Infotainment' program.
Scott is also a songwriter and has written, recorded and performed
with bands regularly over the last nine years and is currently
working towards recording an album.
RECENT PROJECTS:
In 2000, Scott toured Australia in Secret Bridesmaids
Business.
