BIOGRAPHY:
Timothy Shew was most recently seen on the New York City
Broadway stage in The Scarlet Pimpernel at St. Cyr
(original cast recording Atlantic Records). Prior to that,
Tim appeared in the Alan Menken-Tim Rice production of Disney's
King David at the New Amsterdam Theatre (original cast
recording Buena Vista Records). Tim also can be heard on the
Grammy Award-winning Broadway revival recording of Guys
and Dolls as Rusty Charlie. Other Broadway performances
include Sunset Boulevard with Betty Buckley and the
pre- Broadway Andrew Lloyd Webber-Hal Prince Whistle Down
the Wind. However, Tim's New York debut was as Jean Valjean
in Les Miserables at the Broadway Theatre and he performed
that role for over two years. Audiences may be familiar with
his work in American touring companies of Showboat,
Evita, South Pacific and again as Jean Valjean
in Les Miserables. He can be seen and heard in numerous
US television commercials and has just finished producing
the seventh annual Broadway Sings on Park Avenue, a concert
to benefit children affected and infected with HIV and AIDS.
Tim resides in New York City with his proudest production
of all ... son Jonathan.
