BIOGRAPHY:
Bruce began acting in 1969. In Musical Theatre he has appeared
in Big River and How To Succeed In Business Without
Really Trying. He has appeared in many theatre productions
with most major theatre companies in Australia including As
You Like It, Macbeth and Mixed Doubles for
the Sydney Theatre Company. For the Melbourne Theatre Company
Bruce has appeared in Sunday Lunch, A Servant of
Two Masters, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Journey's
End, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, Under
Milk Wood, The Playboy of The Western World and
Richard III. He has also appeared in Don Juan for
the Adelaide Festival, A Midsummer Night's Dream in
the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney, The Floating World
for the National Arts Centre in Canada, and the one- person
plays, A Stretch of the Imagination and Carboni.
Bruce spent several years as a member of the celebrated Australian
Performing Group developing, directing and performing in numerous
productions mainly new Australian plays. Bruce's many film
credits include Moby Dick, Dark City, Ace
Ventura - When Nature Calls, Double Take Meets Hercules,
The Munsters'Scary Little Christmas, Wendy Cracked
A Walnut, Sweet Talker, Rikki and Pete,
The Year My Voice Broke, Pallet on the Floor,
Birdsville, Mad Max II, Mad Max III,
Where the Green Ants Dream, Dimboola, Newsfront,
Eliza Fraser, The Cars That Ate Paris and
Stork. Bruce has made many television appearances including
Tales of the South Seas, Halifax fp., Bullpit,
Good Guys, Bad Guys, Over The Hill, Halfway
Across The Galaxy and Turn Left, Twisted Tales,
Return to Jupiter, Dearest Enemy, Rafferty's
Rules, Tanamera, Great Expectations, The
Untold Story and Dirtwater Dynasty.
RECENT PROJECTS:
In 2000, Bruce appeared in the STC's The White Devil as part
of the Olympic Festival and went on to appear in the tour
to New York. Bruce will appear in the the third part of the
Lord of the Rings trilogy. He is currently appearing in The
Cosmonaut's Last Message to the Woman he Once Loved in the
Former Soviet Union at Company B's Belvoir St.
