BIOGRAPHY:
While completing a Bachelor of Business in Melbourne, Mark
appeared with various theatre companies, ensembles and orchestras.
In 1993 he undertook a singing tour of the USA, which covered
15 cities and was managed by Columbia Artists Management Inc.
(CAMI). On his return he played Anatoly in Chess, for
which he received the Victorian Theatre Guild's Award for
Outstanding New Talent. Mark then studied for his Bachelor
of Arts (Musical Theatre) at WAAPA, graduating in 1997. His
theatre credits include Season at Sarsaparilla,
Grand Hotel, Edwin Drood, Dido and Aeneas,
The Fairy Queen, Miracle City (written by Nick
Enright and Max Lambert), John Wilkes Booth in Assassins
and Young Ben in Follies (both by Stephen Sondheim).
He also appeared in the 1997 Festival of Perth production
of Let Us Begin Again and a workshop production of
Accidental Miracles for the Sydney Theatre Company.
RECENT PROJECTS:
In 2000, Mark had the honour of performing in the Opening
Ceremony for the Sydney Olympics. In 2001, Mark appeared in
Songs For A New World at Chapel Off Chapel. Mark has
also been keeping busy with his cabaret act Shush!
with Simon Gleeson and Fiona Choi.
