BIOGRAPHY:
Helen graduated from the University of Southern Queensland
with a Diploma in Creative Arts, majoring in voice. Stage
credits include: Little Shop of Horrors, Dames at
Sea, Side by Side by Sondheim, Starbuck - The
Musical, A Night at the Paradise. In 1992/93 she
was a regular performer with the cabaret singing group Vocalpoint
and has performed with both the Queensland Pops Orchestra
and the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. Helen appeared in the
Gordon/Frost production of South Pacific which toured
Australia and Hong Kong and performed on occasion the lead
the role of Nellie Forbush. She has made several cabaret appearances
and performed as a guest artist with the Queensland Symphony
Orchestra and toured Australia in the Gordon/Frost production
of Hello Dolly playing the role of Minnie Fay. During
1996 Helen toured both Asia and South Africa in Les Miserables
for Cameron Mackintosh covering both the roles of Eponine
and Cosette, as well as the Factory Girl. Most recently Helen
performed the role of Red Riding Hood in the Brisbane premiere
season of Moonlight Theatre Productions' version of Stephen
Sondheim's acclaimed musical Into the Woods. Helen
recently took time out from performing in the 10th Anniversary
Production of Les Miserables to play the role of Bianca,
to critical acclaim, in Andrew McKinnon's special Concert
version of Kiss Me Kate, with Yvonne Kenny, as part
of the 1998 ENERGEX Brisbane Festival.
RECENT PROJECTS:
Helen joined the Cats Runaway cast as Jellylorum/Griddlebone.
She has also appeared along side Theresa Borg in the cabaret
group Cocktail Cabaret. Helen is currently performing
as an 'Absolutely Fabulette' in EssGee's Pirates of Penzance.
