BIOGRAPHY:

Alana is the adopted daughter in a family of four. Her biological Vietnamese mother sang in the Chinese Travelling Opera - owned and run by her grandparents. When Alana was three it became very clear that her gift of song had been inherited. It was then that her parents enrolled her into the Perth Johnny Young Talent School, where she is now involved with the professional troupe as well as singing and dancing lessons. Her singing troupe performs in local shopping centres and Forrest Place during school holidays. She was first recognised in a talent quest at seven years of age when she received the Most Promising Singer Trophy, singing 'Colours of the Wind' from Pocahontas. The following year she won the first place trophy in the same talent quest. She sang Beauty's solo 'Home' from Disney's Beauty and the Beast in the Johnny Young Talent School's Christmas concert at the Burswood Showroom in 1998.
Alana is in year four at Saint Hilda's School for Girls. When not doing her favourite thing, singing, she enjoys Rhee Tae Kwon Do, swimming, violin, reading, videos and just being a nine year old.
