ASHLEIGH McGUIGAN Little Cosette

BIOGRAPHY:

Ashleigh has been involved in the theatre world since 1994, when at the age of five she began studying Speech and Drama. In that same year, Ashleigh began competing in Eisteddfods, with her first performance gaining her first place in the Five Years and Under, Verse Speaking, Speech and Drama section at the City of Woliongong Eisteddfod. This year she competed for the first time in the St George Eisteddfod in Sydney and she won two first prizes, one of which was for her portrayal of Cosette from Les Miserables. Ashleigh's professional debut also began in 1994 when she joined the Blue Cow Theatre Company. She appeared in several Blue Cow productions including: Alice in Wonderland, The Nightingale, The Pied Piper and Don Quixote. Earlier this year, Ashleigh performed at the Illawarra Performing Arts Centre in the Guild Theatre production of the musical Oliver!. Ashleigh studies Speech and Drama at the Carole Miller Speech and Drama Studio in WoUongong. Her other interests include: singing, swimming, horse riding, Brownies, and playing with her sister Rachael.
