SAM PURDON
Gavroche
|
CITY: Melbourne
BIOGRAPHY:
Sam is nine years old and absolutely thrilled to be part
of the Melbourne production of Les Miserables. He is
the youngest of four children and is a Grade 3 Primary School
student.
His interest in the stage has been there for as long as he
can remember, sparked by his family's involvement in amateur
theatre. His eagerness to tread the boards led him to becoming
completely hooked after performing in 1997 as a workhouse
boy and one of Fagin's gang in SLAMS Music Theatre's production
of Oliver!. Following this he was invited by Performing Arts
Projects to audition for the Australian premiere outdoor production
of Seven Little Australiam which was presented in the gardens
of Rippon Lea over the summer. He shared the role of Bunty
with Anthony Hammer. Sam has singing training. He is a keen
sportsman and particularly enjoys rouer-blading and Australian
Rules. He plays for the junior Eastern Football League and
barracks for Hawthorn!
