After a short Christmas break the company reassembled
in Auckland, New Zealand for the next leg of the tour. Officially
opening on the 7th January 1999, at the Aotea Centre, returning
to the venue where the original touring production ended in
1991.
New cast members included Rob Guest, Delia Hannah,
Kelly Sulikowski, Bruce Spence and Ana Marina in principle
roles, along with Lara Mulcahy moving up from the ensemble
to the role of Madame Thenardier. New ensemble members were
Carrie Barr, Craig Beamer,Lisa-Marie Charalambous, Deb Cotton,
Simon Gleeson, Jolyon James, Melissa Langton, Natalie O'Donnell
and Nicholas Ryan.
The season closed on the 21st March 1999, moving on to Perth.
