After a 10 day break the company were brought
together for the final stop in the tour. Back in a proper
theatre - the Lyric Theatre at the Queensland Performing Arts
Complex in Brisbane.
With great sadness the tour came to an end,
after 665 performances over 21 months, on the afternoon of
Sunday the 8th August 1999. The cast came forward for the
final curtain call in tears, to be greeted by a standing ovation
and a tide of flying streamers from the equally emotional
audience. Rob delivered an emotional speech to mark the end
of the tour.
